Google drops the mic today with the new Jamboard. A semi direct compete to the Microsoft Surface Hub (which I worked on), the Jamboard looks to be a collaborative whiteboard and online communications device.
The board looks pretty slick, very friendly and has some cool drawing peripherals. The real things I want to see though are the pen to glass quality and the applications UX. It's very easy to get these wrong and very easy to go too far. Hopefully I can get a chance to try one of these bad boys out.
This new trend of large touch screens is still in it's infancy and it's yet to be seen just how useful they really are. I for one think they have a bright future ahead of them but in general they need more work and to find their true place in the world of productivity.
